Hello Everyone
My name is James and please I do need your help,advice and suggestions(books or software would be appreciated as well)
I am trying to set up a small network for a school. Please i need help on some things.

1. I want write a small program that could be as an interface to enter student data and query data from a data base

2. What program or application can I use for the database.

3. I know about domain and active directory and can handle it....please advice should I use a domain structure or just a workgroup.

The network is for a secondary school so as to eliminate the use of paper storage and also make information handling faster and easier.The program would be one such thata students information could be serached either by his registration number,first name,sex or theclass he/she belongs to.
