Help Fading Please :(

Hey i need help fading a foto from colour to darkness, like what happens to the left of the foto bellow:


This is the foto i want faded:


I want the foto to start fading about 100 pixels from the bottom, and by the bottom i want it to be a solid colour.
The colour i want the picture to fade into is:

R: 20
G: 29
B: 28

Well you can make a layer with the color you want and place it under the layer with the pic then add a layer mask to the pic layer and use the dragient tool on it with black and white color starting from the bottom.
