you'll notice i'm new here.
I've been teaching myself photoshop for a couple of weeks now, and thought maybe i was getting the hang of it, but now i've done something and i'm not sure what.
I've been trying to figure it out for days but have finally swallowed my pride and come to ask for help, anyone that can even point me in the right direction would be an absolute star.....
ok, i'll explain.
i was following a tutorial from an old book a mate of mine loaned me. It was all about type and showed me how to do manipulate my text. Which i did. and it looks cool.
only...
it told me to create it not as a layer but as a channel. Its come up as an alpha channel. (i don;t know what that is) but i now realise i want it as a layer, coz i want to give it a background and colour etc, not just a general colour, which is all i can do right now.
So....
Does anyone know a way of transfering it to be a layer, or do i have to do it all again? heeeeelppppp!!!!
