HELP! I need help ASAP! Colored drop shadow wont show up...

I have text on top of a lime green background and I made the text have an orange drop shadow, but unless I hide the green background it doesnt really show up I have no idea how to fix this! I have un-installed and reinstalled photoshop (I have CS3) but it still wont work! I need to have this done like, yesterday =( Any help is greatly appreciated. I will provide pics in a min...


When I make the bg visable, the dropshadow's color goes away

Check what blending mode your drop shadow is set to.
Looks like to me it's set to burn, change it to normal mode.

Or you could always go around the problem by duplicating the text layer, then rasterize it, colour it orange, put it behind the black text layer and do a gaussian blur.

but as Excruciating said, i thnk the problem is your blending mode.
