help needed please
hi guys,
I have 2 questions if anyone can help.
Firstly how do a change a picture to 1 block colour? The picture I am trying to do is a sort of 2 different coloured picture and when i try change it, only parts of it change. I want to select the whole thing and make it 1 colour.
Secondly, is it possible to take a picture and change it to just an outline of it?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Re: help needed please
hi mike,
the short anwer is yes we can help and yes you can do those...
but the devil is always in the details... grin...
also a good idea to tell us what ps version you have...
now there a lot of different ways to dothe same thing in photoshop and
and which meathod to use, either the best or what comfortable, will depend on the image itself ..
on the color question not quite sure on that one... be nice to see the image...
but in the meantime... you may want to look at this video tutorial on the various ways to change/correcting colors... it a nice tutorial 5-7 different ways...
http://revision3.com/pixelperfect/colorize
now on the outline... again different ways.. and again seeing theimage can help determine what might work best
for example a simple image,,, i have batman logo with white background... i just select the white background and do a inverse selection, then a new blank layer where i just see the dancing ants (dotted line) and then i do a stroke... that will do it...
in another image that more complicated, what i might do is
go to my effects
choose photo copy
adjust details
that will give you a outlines
note: if you choose your forground and background colors first before going to effect can save a couple of steps...
now some image that may not work good enugh... but there several tutorials and techniuqes on outlining...
for searches use workds like outlining or sketch from picture, or trace from picture, etc... you'll get a lot hits....
for example
http://www.bing.com/search?q=photoshop+ ... &FORM=AWRE
and this was one of the hits..
