Help with executable

Postby doktrindark on Tue Oct 16, 2007 12:03 pm

I have finished a program. forms, the images i use and txt files are all there and complete.

I made an executable out of that program. It is successful. It is running in the computer where I developed and programmed it. However, when I copy the executable file, the images and the necessary file that my program accesses in another computer especially without a VB installed on it, it never runs.

What should I do to make a program complete and independent that it will run through all the compatible PC (of course, with all the requirements met) even without a VB

You should create a Setup program so that you can run the program Setup in another computer. It doeen't required to installed VB at every PC. Microsoft Visual Studio 6 Tools comes with the "Package & Deployment Wizard". You can use this to create a Setup program for your application.
