Help with over clocking :|?

Postby Tomi on Sun May 06, 2007 5:54 pm

I was thinking about overclocking my cpu abit, maby try and squeeze abit more out of it. I dont think i will be able to do to much as my hardware isnt to great but hopefully i can do somthing.

I have an intell pentium 4, 3ghz cpu.
1gb DDR2 RAM
305watt psu
Good cpu cooling system.

I just really dont have clue where to start. Im going to look on google in a sec but if anyone can point me in a direction that would be great. Also if anyone knows any good software so i can measure the performance, speed, power, heat etc that would be great.

Thanks
Tomi

EDIT: i just had a little look on google, its not very clear but i dont think this will be as easy as i first tourght, this isnt going to be a click a button job is it?
I'm back and I'm 18 :)

It needs to be done in the BIOS, at least IMO. You can get a wealth of info at http://www.ocforums.com/. Good luck and you will probably need a better PSU.
