hey everyone noob needs some honest pointers.

hello everyone, im a noob to the forum and ive been doing some looking around and i was impressed with alot of others people work, and i also saw that the forum gave honest opinions. Well ive been doing photoshop since high school ( 3 years ago) but i feel like im stuck in those "high school lessons" this is a picture of me i dont have the original but this is what i ended up with. im not sure if i like this picture cause i feel really comforatble with it, when i can be pushing my potential more and more to the next level. LOL im not sure if what im trying to explain makes sence so ill leave it for you all to help me out....thanks!

im guessing you added the axe and its not really there if thats the case you did really well with the shadows i like it, i always find editing photos is good but you never feel like you created something
just edited something i like to create things so my advice is to make a web page layout or some flyers for a local night club even if ya dont use em it gives you good technique and there are tutorials to help with effects

LOL i actually own that scythe, and it was in the picture. its the slayers scythe from buffy the vampire slayer. LOL but thanks for the compliments.

Perhaps you could post the original then we can see what you have done? Not to say the picture looks bad or anything, I just have nothing to compare it to, you might have done nothing for all I know.
