Hi, I'm BRAND NEW, and have a question about scanning...

Postby texastrees on Wed Aug 08, 2007 6:43 pm

I have a website that I want to do the artwork for. I have it drawn out, but I have NO idea how to get it into PhotoShop to start working on it. I have it scanned, but need to know how to edit in PS. I have the CS3 version now. I've been using CS2 for quite a while, but only for photo retouching and other image editing.

Is there a tutorial out there somewhere that shows how to work with scanned images?

Thanks so much!!!

I would recommend that you use your scanned image as a background layer and just collage the website on layers above it.

But the scanned image is just pencil and paper. I want to work on the images separately. Would it help to provide a snapshot of the scanned image to show you what I'm talking about?

Okay, here it is. I have it all drawn together, but that's not how I want it to appear. Just that all the elements are there. I'd like to "draw" the mom and have her as a separate image, as I would the others (flag, and each kid separate). Then I'd like to colorize them, kwim? Looks silly now, but I'll straighten them up and place them appropriately...

Thank you for your input!
