How can I save a Mac Illustrator File for PC Illustrator?

I need to save/convert a file from Illustrator on CS3 for Windows?

I was told I needed to provide a PC Illustrator file by saving it down to Illustrator v7 and then into a Windows file, I am sure how to do this.

Can someone help?

I'm not sure why someone would tell you this... but illustrator files are interchangeable between mac and pc... as long as the version of illustrator on the pc is high enough to open the version the illustrator file is saved as. You can save the illustrator file in CS3 as a version 8 file if you go File > Save As and choose the version you want to save the file as in the drop down menu,
