Just draw a black line above it with the line tool?

basically what I want to do is connect all the red dashed lines in this picture http://ows.public.sembach.af.mil/gifIma ... 00_00Z.gif to make them all continuous, and then shade in all different temperature regions with different colors, what would be the quickest way to do it (ignore all black lines)?

2 ways i can think of: pen tool then do stroke. OR hold shift with the brush tool and just follow the lines
