How to cut out a picture

I have a picture that is on a white background. I don't want the white background I just won't the picture. Can I do this and how. Thank you all very much

If it's only white you can use the magic wand tool and just delete it

Agreed. If it is a near-pure white background, the magic wand tool (playing with tolerance to get the selection you are looking for) is the best and easiest way.
