how to make a socket connection in Visual Basic

Postby xuanhungclc on Thu Aug 21, 2008 8:43 am

hi all,
I 'd like to get XML document data from a socket port using Visual basic. I know port number, XML document structure, protocol. But could anyone help me how to make a connection to this port and then get the data?
thanks very much!
PS. If someone knows to do this in Visual C++, please tell me too.

i have here an example, you can download it in the link below. you just need to change the ip address and try to add some files in the sharedfiles folder to test downloading from the other.
