How to overclock a Gfx card?

Postby Kotik on Fri Aug 27, 2004 3:21 pm

I will be upgrading my graphic card very soon. Right now I have the ancient GF3 Ti500. Since I will be changing it with a newer one I thought why not overclock it and see how its done.

If anyone could tell me how its done please post....

How to overclock a GeForce FX

Postby Vortex on Sat Aug 28, 2004 10:29 am

Well, first thing I would recommend is making sure you have adequate cooling before attempting to do any overclock. Depending on how much you want to overclock aftermarket fan solutions from antec or thermaltake would work fine. If you're planning on going on the extreme side of things watercooling might be best. After you're sure you've got the cooling and ventalation required you can find an excellent guide at http://www.overclockers.com.au/techstuff/a_coolbits/

If you want to do a little more research before oc'ing you can find a great FAQ on video card overclocking at http://www.tweak3d.net/articles/voc/
