I am working on this site is there anything you don’t like?

The main reason for putting it on here though is, is the anything obvious I have missed for optimizing the search engine rank?

I did not word my post very well at all sorry.

I never made or designed the website I have just been asked to improve its search engine rank and to make some updates.

I have been able to get some big improvements on MSN and Yahoo seach engines. On MSN I have gained 6 pages with the keywords contract hire.

But the main task for me was to improve the google ranking with the keywords contract hire, which is still the same as when I started.

The most important thing it to remove the hidden text, that's strictly forbidden by the search engines and can get the site banned from all the search engines. So remove all the hidden text.

When there is a space in a sentence, is it replaced by a '+' in the URL, change that to '-' instead.

Change the position of the menu so it's not first in the code.

Use internal backlinks better for you main keyword.

Redirect http://site.com to http://www.site.com
(and same goes for all subpages)

Which hidden text did you mean?

There was some in the header tags that could not be seen cos of the image that is their as well. Was that the bit you meant?

There is no hidden text there though.

Other than footer left,footer right and grow. But that wont effect my search engine rank so why would they be bothered?

I did not know they would matter as it is not keywords that are hidden.
