Illustrator Effects Sketch

Hi all,

How do I use the skecth effects on shapes I draw ?

I have drawen a rectangle shape using the rectangle tool but if I go to Effects > Sketch, all the opitions are grayed out and can't use them.

I do I use the opitions under the Effects.

The document color mode has to be RGB. The grayed out effects cannot be used in CMYK. File>Document Color Mode>RGB
