Illustrator upgrade?

Hello! I am a total newbie
I have Illustrator 9 and would like to upgrade to Illustrator CS2 but I do not want to purchase Photoshop CS2 upgrade..
will this work or do I need to purchase Photoshop CS2??

hi, you can upgrade to the latest version of illustrator for £164 here:

It's the same price for previous version 8,9,10, CS etc

You certainly don't need to purchase the photoshop upgrade although if you buy a whole suite upgrade i believe it will work out slightly cheaper.

Hope that helps. Seems like a good deal for 3 or so generations of updates!
