does anyone know how to create a rtwork file in indesign like you can do in quark. ?

well apparently when using quark you can create artwork files. these files are apparently smaller to be able to send to people. rather than having the big files. i was wondering if you can do this in in design or not?.

What do you mean artwork files?? You mean like .jpg, .gif, etc.?
