Incorporating flash banner into a fluid website

Incorporating flash banner into a fluid website

Postby hhelen on Wed Mar 28, 2007 9:59 am

Hi

I am attempting to build my first fluid website and am having trouble incorporating the top flash banner.

I am not sure if it is a problem with resizing swfs or html but for lower res monitors I have white space at the top and bottom of the banner and higher res monitors there is white space at either side.

The html part of the site works to fill the screen and is done using two fixed width divs either side with the top div and central div fluid.

Does anyone know why this might be and how I can fix it?

The site is uploaded at http://www.interactive-learning.info/fl ... index.html

Resizing the browser window will show you what I mean!

Thanks

Helen

Ok I think this may help you are going to have to treat it like layers and use a z-index. In your #banner use a z-index of 5 and then in your container and centre left and right and topmenu tags use a z-index of 10 and this may do it.

Thanks for the reply. I tried using the z-indexes like you said but it made no difference unfortunately, its driving me crazy!
