Installing true type fonts

so, my first post here should show my level of ineptitude... i'm using photoshop 7 on windows xp, i've downloaded a ttf file but i don't know how to get that font into the drop down of other styles within photoshop. prob a very simple explanation but i am a complete novice!! any help is much appreciated

open the folder where you downloaded it, and open control panel>fonts.

drag and drop to the file to the fonts folder, it should auto install it:)
