iPad Launch Date - April 3

The iPad will be available on the U.S. market on April 3. BUT this will only be the Wi-Fi-version. Accordring to Mashable, the Wi-Fi+3G iPad will be available in late April.


Pricing and availability are the same as announced: Wi-Fi models will be available for a suggested retail price of $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB, $699 for 64GB. The Wi-Fi + 3G models will be available for a suggested retail price of $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB.

Apple is taking pre-orders for the iPad, starting from March 12, for the US. WiFi and WiFi + 3G models will have to be ordered online through the Apple Online Store. Or you can get an iPad (WiFi model) reserved to pick up on April 3.

I think that's a good call, the firmware shouldn't be any problems, but it might be a good idea to get the 3G version. It will also be interested to see how the jailbroken iPad will look (yes, they will hack it )
