Irritating font and border issues :-(

Im just wondering if anyone is able to help me, when i use the type tool im finding the edges of the type are a bit rough. Ive made all the adjustments to the edges using the aa tool, and when i use smooth, hard etc, it makes no difference the problem is still there!! When i import this into dreamweaver it looks awful Ive even went into Illustrator and done text their, and its perfect, but because i can only export as a PDF i bring that into photoshop to convert to JPEG and the problem is still their Maybe their is a simpler way of sorting this problem out and i just dont know about it!

Another issue is when im using the rectangle tool and create a smooth square, im getting a black border every time? Ive checked to stroke in the layers style and it isnt selected so i have no idea why this is happening The odd thing is when i save the file its fine, but i jus find it annoying!!

They are really irritating me and i hope someone can help!!

i have never like the way ps handle vector text and hearing form other people seems they always have issue with it....

i don't know if i can help.... just a a little above novice.....

i have been looking at your post..... sort of confused maybe the older editon of ilustrator wouldn't allow exporting psd file but several tutorals i have seen always refered to saving as a psd file ...

Its a real pain i wish they would sort it out!!

The 1st link sorted the problem out, after i done that i just saved for web and converted into a jpeg that done the trick!!

Still, seems a lot of messing about just to get some txt!!

in fact that link.. i am going to look at it and see what cute tricks i can do using that meathod......

i don't know what ver of ps.. i know with cs1 which i have not very good and understand 2 and 3 not great neither i don't if they improved it with cs5....

i find when doing text my old printshop handle vector text better...lol ....

Ive just discovered after all that when i bring the image into dreamweaver im having the same issue!!

You would expect txt to be the easiest thing to do, it should be, but im finding that isnt the case!!

hi,
that the problem with ps.. it a bitmap program and it being manipulated to act as a vector .... and it doesn't measure up .....
if your text is part of a larger project maybe it would work better if the text part is a seperate file from the rest of the object... if that possible with your project..

did come across one issue as far as eporting... when exporting as pdf.. make sure checkbox are check for retaining vector data..
