Is there a circle selection tool?

This might seem a bit basic, but is there a circle selection tool?
I would expect there to be a circular option in the top left where you can choose different brushes.

I'm on Mac OSX 10.4.9

I'm a music student so I have access to photoshop at Uni but not lessons.

Yes if you select the rectangle selection tool and hold down, you are presented with the option to use a circular selection tool.
