is there a way to make a message board using html?

i am creating a website for my church and youth pastor wants me to put some kind of message board or forum where he can post an announcement or a question or something and anyone who looks at the page can then post something. preferably so that the viewer would not have to log in or anything as that would deter many from using the site (and since we are creating a website to help our church grow... we dont want to do that). if they could post anonymously that would be great. but my pastor wants (obviously) to be able to delete any inappropriate comments. my youth pastor DOES want to have a password set up. i dont know if this is possible or not. if you can give me the html for this that would be great but i understand if it is too much work. i guess i just need a shove in the right direction. i appreciate it!

I'm not sure if you could make a message board with HTML, but what your talking about would be a Blog if that's what you mean. Try searching Google for a blog that you can copy the codes and put it on.

Making an entire messageboard by only using HTML is impossible. You always have to resort to Java(Script), PHP, ASP or sometimes CGI or Perl. The best way, at least that's my honest opinion, is to use PHP. Nearly all webhosts, even the free ones, support PHP nowadays. Just have a looksy over at hotscripts.com and see what they've got. I think there might be something nice for you over there.
