Issues changing background color

Postby Zarncar on Sun Aug 17, 2008 10:58 pm

I am trying to do the Andy Warhol effect on this image (link to follow), I believe I can do most of it fine, however I have been trying for over an hour to change the background to a solid color, anything bright, but having issues since the black and greys merge together a lot, if someone could help me it would be amazing, just want all the background a solid bright color, does not matter what, if anyone could help me I would appreciate it very much, and might save my sanity.

you'll need to cut out the person in this case if you want the bg to be one solid color.
Best way to do this is by creating paths with the pen tool.
It should be fairly easy do so since there's no hair involved or smaller details.
After you've created a path around the model, select it (right click>select path (feather: 0), hit inverse (ctrl + i), create a new layer (ctrl + shift + n) and fill it with the color of your choice.
