Someone asked me to help a bit with a web page. On that page visitors should be able to download something, then fill a field with an ID, and then an e-mail should be generated to a certain address (always the same) confirming that the download succeeded.
How can I accomplish that?
(If my question sounds naive, I have to apologize, as I'm actually a Python programmer, and JavaScript isn't my strong point. But we all learn...)
