| When I'm putting keywords in the meta tag things do I need to do that to every page or just the homepage? |

You will probably want different keywords on different pages. Let's say you have a page about traveling, then you will put the general keywords on your index, keywords like "travel, traveling" and so on. On your sub-pages, maybe articles about traveling in europe, you should have keywords about that.
There's no meaning of adding keywords to pages that you don't want to get any search eninge visitors to,for example a "contact us"-page. |

| Ah ok I get you so the keywords should be more specific to a particualar page. Right? |
