make navbar in IE as neat as in Firefox

make navbar in IE as neat as in Firefox

Postby 5thavenu on Wed Feb 11, 2009 12:13 am

Hello there!

Have a problem of Internet Explore displaying the nav menu,
there is a space being created after each text in the
nav menu, stretching the "button" down. But if you see
the web site in FireFox the nav looks perfect.

Has someone a clue what needs to be changed, altered, removed
in the CSS or HTML?

I would suggest that you remove all the following lines first of all...

Code: Select all
<li class="divider"></li>

This is unecessary code.

Put your divider rule in as a background image to the <li> items that contain the links, or use the CSS dotted rule feature to create it for you.

Because you have them all set as block. IE is ballooning the spacing and pushing the menu down.
