hi philmetz

here is a psd file with layers merged.
here is a jpg file in case you wont be able to open a psd file (CS3)

what doesn't seem to work for you exactly ?

all you have does is link all the layers togeather im not sure exactly what philmetz wanted as there are many ways to merge them but i think he wanted it to look like each pic is merged in to the next one

ok philmetz, I see there is an issue explaining the problem and it doesn't seem that by saying 'merged' you're thinking about merging layers as per photoshop function, explain what you need to be done and we will try to help you.

ok sorry
well if you see the psd file its just a collection of square picture, now i was trying to merge them so that instead of a set of pictures, it looks like one solid picture, ie all the pictures fade into each other and make it look like one.

I have tried working a bit on this but since all pictures dont overlap eachother it is very hard to make it look like one single floating picture. I can of course blend those who do overlap eachother but the others.. It simply doesent look realistic.

The method i use is to add a layermask and then add a black and white gradient, if anyone has a beter method I'm all ears :)

Grax add a black background to it that will help the merging then just feather the images and a little work with the smudge tool job done
