I'm relatively new to 3DSM and I've been working on a major project for a portfolio for some time now though I've started to have "issues" with it...
It's gotten to the point that 3DSM6 slows when I want to do so little as draw a line.
When I apply textures from the materials library it won't render them (rendering any textures that I have imported myself); it will go so far as to do a partial render and then, at the point at which the texture/s from the library are introduced, it freezes the render.
I've been trying to reduce the strain upon 3DSM6 by attaching objects together (eg. two separate parts of what is to be one whole object) but it doesn't seem to be doing any good.
Like I said, I'm quite new to 3DSM as I graduated from University not too long ago and I'm still learning about it in more detail.
If it's of any help the PC I use has a 2.20 GHz Quad-Core Processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 456 GB hard disk. The file size is approximately 38 MB.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I simply cannot afford to have so much work be ruined!
