for the skin metalBB so i have a home page then matching forums

Go to your forum, click on View > View Source. There you have it, not just open it in Frontpage or Dreamweaver (or any other html editor) and make your changes.

what things do you need in the homepage...

where can i download the psd files if i need to do some editing...

i downloaded this metalBB template from somewhere i just can get the page with which i can view the the template..plz help me with this and how do you deal with this .tpl...can somebody plz help me with this...

say like how do i use the login_body.tpl if i need to have a login thing in the homepage....

All the HTML coding is in the .tpl files and the php code is in the PHP-files. The two most important files are overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl.

ya i get it...but now in the .tpl files only a part of the code is present...how do you join all of them to make a complete page...

what i ment was...here the page is divided in to many parts say one is the login, viewing the private meaasges, displaying the forums ... and all these sub categories are saved as .tpl files...what i meant was if you need to have 2 thing s in a page...like login and displaying the list of the forums...how do you join these twoi thing so you get one page with both of them in it....well in simple words how to use those .tpl files like in my site i save a page as .html and i can view it in a browser...now if i store it as a .tpl file how to make use of it..

That's very complicated, you have to go into the .php -files to choose which .tpl -files you want to include. But there are mods for many different changes. Take a look at: www.phpbbhacks.com to look for mods.
