my fonts look dithery

Postby kelly on Mon Aug 14, 2006 10:33 pm

I've never had trouble with fonts in a PS doc, but now they show up looking horrible. Whatever anti-alias option and whatever size I choose, they look the same.

I'm guessing I inadvertently changed some setting, but can't figure out what it would be.

This is in a 300dpi document.

Any help would be so very appreciated (especially because I'm on deadline)!

Some low quality fonts will show up pretty crappy looking if they're just high res raster that are turned into EPS, which is fine for large fonts at 72dpi computer screen resolution but at 300dpi print resolution they'll look like shit with a hangover. If you can upload a jpg showing an example of the font when it's crisp I'll see if I have any that look very similar and I'll email them or something.
