Need for help associating jpg files with PS CS4 as default

Postby brkd63 on Thu Oct 15, 2009 4:55 am

Has anyone run into this? I'm running Vista Home64 bit. I've tried to associate jpg files with PS CS4.
I open the "Choose a Program" dialogue box. PS is not listed. I browse for my program, navigate to the Adobe folder in Program Files. I go to the Adobe folder, open it up, choose PS CS4, open it up and choose the PS CS4 exe file. I click OK and go back to the original dialogue box without PS and no association being made. Any ideas? :?

Thanks for the idea. :) I tried it. I was able to open the file, however this didn't set the default program to Photoshop. :?: I usedto be able to double click a jpeg file and haveit open in PS. Now I can't make this happen. Very frustrating.

Molko,
Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that and the association(Jpeg to Photoshop)doesn't take. Very frustrating!!! Any other thoughts?
