Need Help bad!! PSCS2 Changing my tones after opening

Postby ckwheeler on Mon Jul 02, 2007 9:08 pm

I was hoping for someone to know what is going on with this problem i'm having.. I shot my session yesterday in canon raw and at adobe rgb 1998, when i opened up bridge I could see the nice skin tones there then right in front of me without touching anything, each picture began to change to a reddish tint, every picture did that, so i opened up lightroom to see if it happened there, and it did, this has never happened when i shot in jpg srgb, so is this because of the change of profile, Can I fix this without all the editing? I want the natural skin tones back that i can see are there but get changed for some reason...please help

I am using pscs2, and lightroom1, I've tried looking into all preference options making sure that no button is clicked to let it do any adjusting of tones...

The wierder thing is, I went to my laptop which has just CS on it, and i brought up the same image and it was normal, without the reddish look... So either its a CS2 problem, my computer, or something.. I might try re installing cs2??

Hi Katrina,

It could be a couple of things. First of all, your monitor could be out of calibration (or just the wrong calibration). It could also be that Photoshop is converting the image to another color space ( which would be the default set under Edit> Color Settings.)

I also shoot Canon raw (CR2) quite a bit, and use PSCS2. Would it be possible for you to e-mail one of the raw files to me at tandemduo280@comcast.net? It would be much easier for me to pinpoint the problem and come up with a solution.
