Need script that ALTERNATE the Z-INDEX when ONMOUSEOVER

Need script that ALTERNATE the Z-INDEX when ONMOUSEOVER

Postby Talita Emmanuela on Wed Aug 13, 2008 1:13 pm

Hey people, im new here and im searching a solution for this problem since ever. Here's the deal: i have this flash dropdown menu that works fine at IE, but at firefox the flash overlap the text... that it would be ok if there was no links on it, but there is, so the links right behind the flash dont work.. you can see it at this link http://www.lima.coppe.ufrj.br/limanovo/links.html

I would thank you for ever if someone could tell me a javascript that changes the z-index when onmouseover the menu.. or tell me a better solution!

Thanx people!

There is no solution, that I know off, its just how firefox uses the opacity tag in flash. The easiest way for you would be to remake your menu in css/javascript, there are plenty of scripts out there that could help you achieve this.

Try to set the z-index of that dropdown, but you should also note that z-index only works to an element that is positioned abolutely or relatively.

Hope that makes sense.
