I'm such a noobie I couldn't even begin to tell you. Alrighty I'm sure most of you have heard of myspace. Well I've been trying forever to put a song on my page and I don't know how. Could anyone give me tips on how to do so. Like tell me what to do. Step my step directions. Possibly make an html tag. Only uses html/dhtml and css so need to follow those guide lines. Please tell me how to do this, I've been looking forever with no response. Thank you

It should work something like this:

<embed src="filename.mid" hidden="true" autostart="true" loop="true">

You could fool around with the hidden, autostart and loop options. Should be pretty easy. :)

Hope this was helpful.

One good/bad thing about HTML is that you can always look how other people have done. Just go to a page which plays music, look at the source of the page and you will see how that webmaster has doe it.

And welcome to DEVPPL :)

Welcome to DevPPL indeed. (I keep forgetting to welcome the new guys to DevPPL man...)

Hardly anybody uses background music anymore. Mostly because in 99% of the cases, it's just plain annoying. When I'm running WinAmp and am listening to some good music, and suddenly it gets disturbed by music from something else, I just click away...
There are good websites with music however!

You could just not autoplay the music. People would have to click the play button to actually start the music.
