Need to create Rail Road Brush

Postby RobH on Mon Aug 06, 2007 2:21 am

I'm creating maps and need to create a brush in Photoshop that will draw Rail Road tracks and follow the direction of the mouse or cursor. I'm just looking for two simple lines with cross marks. I need to be able to just brush around in any direction and have the line look like a simple Rail Road graphic following the direction I draw.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rob

I'm not sure if you'd be able to make it follow your mouse like that.

I'm sure you could use a regular brush to create parts of a railroad track; straight lines, curves, etc, and then save those as brushes that you could use later (thereby keeping it looking uniform) and then you could go in and redraw parts that you're brushes don't satisfy.

I believe you'd need to draw this RR track on a transparent background and then go to File> Define Brush ? I'm sure someone knows a better way, though.
