Need urgent help how to disable fit tool

Hi there,

I am using photoshop cs5 64 bit and i am trying to disable the fit tool
I am using very often the inverse and polygonal tool and every time i select and press delete button it pop-ups appears the fit menu and ask me every time to select from background colour,foreground colour content etc.
My question is how to set the fit tool to default to always use for example background colour or foreground colour

apologies if I'm misunderstanding you, but I'm not sure what the 'fit tool' is. Do you mean 'Fill' or fit to window?

if you mean this, what ever menu you select stays there till you change it again click the contents drop down

Sorry for the misunderstanding i meant fill tool menu
But whatever option i select foreground or background content-aware it won't be permanent
Every time it asks me again to select one of the options
wondering how do i set the option to a default one

in my experience, it's like iDad said, the menu automatically shows up with what I used last, not sure what's going on on your end. Just curious, are you mainly using content aware? There are short cuts to fill with foreground and background, Alt+Del being foreground and Ctrl+Del being background fill. That really speeds things up, if that's what you need.

are you in rgb mode? remove background for editing?

I am not mainly using content-aware(mostly background) so the shortcuts maybe will help me.thanks for the tips
just checked : using RGB mode and yes i remove background for editing,to be more exactly cropping images(using magic wand tool and delete)
