New portfolio design!

My portfolio has been down for a little while now but I'm putting it back up. This is what i came up with. I like it



I plan to use light box for my gallery. The header will be a simple bit of flash animation and other than that it will be very simple with only 2 pages!

The first page or 'Home page' will be the gallery which you can see above, the little grey boxes represent the space my work will be in. The Vertical words 'Gallery' and 'Contact' are the nav.

More color will be added through interactivity, for example when a user hovers over text or an image it might change color.

I think it will be not that hard to do it in flash, but seen as you have 2 year experience, this shouldnt be a problem for you!
So you do; Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash?

very nice, but your only 16 still have some things to learn....AA the type in flash then, create outlines so you can use any font....and centering is for lazy people...

the site can use more contrast too...maybe the thumbnails will make up for it....but the first things i see are the adobe icons...

The only reason you are drawn to the Adobe icons immediately is because that's the only colour there apart from the header. Of course it'll look better when it's done, well with his PS stuff there.

O and BTW I'm not being an asshole there, just sounds like it lol.

Peejah: Its not going to be a flash website, i didn't use AA on the text because you can't have AA in HTML. Also centering is more of a matter of looking good, i don't see what that was aimed at anyhow. Yup it will have more contrast with full content etc like Johnathan said

Everyone: Have been busy but am underway with getting it sorted, have sliced and coded... just tweaking the code and will be adding the lightbox soon

i want the background to have color too maybe real subtle....i was just throwing the "centered" remark out there.....i was castrated in school for center aligning things..

OUCH! I like it the way it is. It will make the colour in the images stand out more where as if it is a colour even a subtle one it will draw attention off the images.
