Newbie Q. please...

Newbie Q. please...

Postby muddywaters on Fri Oct 09, 2009 9:29 pm

I'm using CS2 and have come up with a Logo for my Tile Company. I would like to use this logo for a powerpoint presentation as well as for my web site.

Q. I'm having trouble lifting the logo without the background. Needless to say... I'll use the background of the web page, powerpoint. Please advise... thank you!

Kind of got me there iDad :? ...not really sure. Just want to move it to a powerpoint page (Im thinking) as a image...but without the background as you see above. I want only the diamond shape and the Chaney Tile text above it. TK Muddy

select (all) of the background, could be tricky. Then select inverse copy and then create a new document using clipboard, paste to it. done, you have just logo

probably easier if you know the font used for logo I just tried it, for a new user I can see how you would have trouble

The font for the Chaney Tile is Chisel D and the font on the diamond block is New Times, Italic...

Actually what I was attempting to do...was extract it. No go!

I'm assuming...that the file must be flattened first? Then attempt to lift the logo? TK
