Optimus Keyboard

We haven't been able to get much information about this product, but it is a keyboard called Optimus keyboard which is designed by Artemy Lebedev.

The keyboard is completly digital and each key can be reprogrammed to be a letter, number or maybe a shortkey for a software.

The keyboard will be released in 2006 and no price is specified.

I've been wanting this ever since I saw it come out. They say it's going to cost less than a good cell phone. I dunno how much I'd be willing to spend on it but man-o-man I'd love one.

i have heard rumors that this was fake, and others that it is real... can anyone confirm?

This link seems pretty authentic. I doubt it but I can't officially confirm.

That does look kinda fake. But if you look at some of the high res link link it looks less so. I want one too. How much do you all think you'd put down for one? I'd probably pay up to 200 for one. Maybe more.

I wound not get one at all to start with cos can you imagine the amount of problems your going to get with it and it wont be cheap.

I would wait a while see how they go first.

i heard that it was just somthing that somone made in a program like photoshop or somthing, just art.. but that might be wrong Confused

One of the images is just a bunch of copies and pastes of icons from quake 3 with a border effect. And I think it is fake.

The ArtLebdev Optimus keyboard is a real product, not just another hoax. A friend of mine has already ordered their mini-three which will be shipped pretty soon.

Elderbunny: All the pics of the keyboard on their site are CG visualisations not actual pictures of the product. You think they'd have a finished model then decide not to release it for ages? Jeez these things take time to develop after the initial idea and concept briefs.
