Parsing Issue

Postby MM xSkillz on Sat May 05, 2007 12:40 am

Hello,
I have been using this flash file for months and it has never had problems with anything. However, just lately, it has been returning NaN errors every time it loads. I did not make the file and just got it from an open source website ran by one of my friends. Unfortunately, my friend (who is also the person who made it) could not figure out how to fix this either. I asked someone else who is kinda technically savy and he couldn't fix it either but did find out the problem. He said that it isn't parsing right. I have no idea what that means but if someone could try to fix the file to parse correctly or just tell me what I need to do to moddify it, that would be super! The file gets its RSS feed from the Halo 2 maker's website (Bungie.net) so instead of explaining how this system works, I was just wondering if anyone could figure it out since it is really a problem with the computer aspect of it not the xbox live part (because bungie.net's stats work fine). I know this is kinda a vague description that I just gave so if you want more information about how the flash file or how Bungie.net's RSS feed works, I would be happy to tell you anything I know. Here is a link to the directory where I have the swf, fla, the pictures, and a few other files required to use this. If you want me to actually attach any of these files to a post so that you can see the source, I would be happy to!

Hope this can be fixed and thanks in advance!

Sorry, I forgot to mention one thing, to make an actual gamertag load to see the NaN problem, just add ?playerName=GAMERTAG at the end. You could try mine (MM xSkillz) which would be ?playerName=MM xSkillz added to the end of the swf file. Also, if you want to see what numbers should go where it currently says NaN, just go to Bungie.net click Find a Player listed under My Stats and using the "Search By Gamertag" section, imput the desired gamertag.
