Photos with dates

Postby Ash on Wed May 24, 2006 10:17 pm

Someone I know has sent me a picture of them witha date on it and I want to remove it. Is there an easy way? I would try and put a colour over the date but it's not all the same colour around the date...

I'm afraid there is no easy way.

Just zoom in 10-15 times, take a brush size 1 px and start removing the numbers. I've done it many times, it is not that hard.

Or send me the picture, i'll do it for you - milos.milutinovic@yahoo.com

Why can't you just select the date numbers with the magic wand?

What are you going to do after removing the date, you'll still have a white area, actually, you'll still have the date on :D

You can try to use the "Plaster Tool" and remove it, that will probably give you the best result.

the smudge tool has always worked wonders for me.
just zoom in A LOT, and use maybe a size 3 brush
and just slowing smudge the surrounding colours around
until you get the desired look. hope this helps.

Yeap! Zoom in ( e.g 1600%). Alt + Click on the pixel next to the date to get the color and then click on the pixel of the date. But pixel by pixel, because the color is not the same everywhere. Brush size 1 gives better details, but you have to be patient.
