Photoshop Problem

Postby tailzdru on Sun May 06, 2007 2:48 pm

My Photoshop was working perfectly till all of a sudden out of nowhere i couldnt Open Files and on the rare occasion when i did when ever i made a stroke it would just dissappear and id have to do it like 30 times quickly for it to stay, and on top of that i cant Save files either

all the right screens come up and the program acts like its running fine untill i try and do somthing but then it does nothing but it dosn't show any error msg's at all

ive tried everything short of reformatting my harddrive and reinstalling it,

anyone heard of this or even better have a solution?

Hi
It sounds like you need to trash the preference files.
Start Photoshop, and immediatly press Alt + Control + Shift as it opens. You will get a dialog box asking if you want to delete the current settings - say yes. You only have a window of a few nanoseconds to press the keys, so it may take a few goes. Alternativly, search your documents and settings folder for .psp files and delete them - Photoshop will re-build them next time it opens.
