Photoshop Program error???

Postby mammaw on Thu Nov 06, 2008 5:31 am

Hi All,

I have Photoshop 7.0. It's been working fine until my computer crashed a couple of weeks ago. Then I kept getting missing command errors and program errors when I tried to run actions and some of my layers didn't display correctly after importing for web.

Anyway, I checked Adobe, installed all the updates for 7.0, and followed every snippet of advice on how to correct the problem (including wiping my hard drive and reinstalling Photoshop), but nothing works!

Have any of you encountered this problem with 7.0 and if so, could you please tell me how you fixed it?

Thanks,
Mammaw

Hi,
Appreciate the reply. Unfortunately, I purchased the Photoshop 7.0 on eBay and the seller turned out to be a crook selling fake copies with a registration number already registered by another company.

Looks like I'm out a couple of hundred bucks for nothing! In case any of you get "ripped off" on the net like I did, you can file a complaint with the federal gov at www.IC3.gov

May or may not help get your money back, but it makes you feel a little better anyway. lol

Thanks again for responding to my question.

You should be able to get the money back if you payed by paypal. They are usually quite quick at sorting stuff out. Well the two time we've needed them to.

Normally getting the money back from Paypal would be no problem. For some reason, Adobe didn't catch the duplicate registration until after I had to reinstall the program after my computer crashed--six months after I bought it!--so the time limit on filing a claim with Paypal has expired.

I did file a complaint for mail fraud with the USPS, what good it will do remains to be seen.

Best,
