Photoshop transform with hard edges?

Photoshop transform with hard edges?

Postby purplemonster on Wed Sep 30, 2009 2:57 pm

I've searched around on the internet but could not find a clear answer on this question, I want to resize a part of an image while retaining hard edges.

This is what happens when I resize in Photoshop:

Now, I did find a workaround, when I resize it in paint, it works just fine:

I'm sure there is a way to do this in Photoshop, but I can't find the answer by searching it on the Internet(I'm sure there is one somewhere, but it's hidden!), and I could use paint all the time, but that would be a real pain. I could also use resize with nearest neighbor in image resize but that resizes the whole image... so that's a workaround as well.

So does anyone know the answer?
