Even though I don't like Counter-Strike, I'll have to say that it's the best Multiplayer game ever. Obviously

The best singleplayer game is the Monkey Island series, no doubt

Multiplayer - Diablo II / StarCraft: BroodWar
FPS - In my opinion there is no good FPS game.
RPG - Final Fantasy I - IX (on PSX) on PC it's defenitly Baldurs Gate 1 & 2
RTS - StarCraft: BroodWar / WarCraft: The Frozen Throne

Well this is what i think are the greatest bestest games ever...

Diablo II, just because i still play the game (been playing since 2000)
Half-Life, because of the fantastic storyline nothing beats it
Doom3, for the grafics havent played it yet but i'm going to..
and ofcource Half-Life 2 because i've been waiting for a long time... :p

Best games ever are:

Star Craft, War Craft II and Warcraft III

So I like RTS games the most, but there are many FPS games I like too, like CS and Unreal Tournament.

Dungeons and Dragons the first one though it wasnt a visual game but a board game it set the stage for most Rpg's.
