You need special plugins for windows servers if you want to make thoose thumbnails yourself.

Buy you can hotlink a site thumbnail from ww.alexa.com

I take it webmaster has told you what he has cos he know something I dont like by the sounds of it you use your own server.

But just to simply convert the image to a favicon use a site like this Link.

Then add this to the head of your doc.

Code: Select all
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" />

You don't have to convert using that site when you can download a plug in for Photoshop that allows you to save as favicons. Here.

Is it any good though Ash?

It looks a right dodgy site to be downloading executables from.

I take it that using that plugin is quick and easy?

I thought he wanted a screenshot of the page he was linking to. Do you want a icon in the URL field of the browser, like DEVPPL uses 9 dots?
