I would like someone to add me through MSN, and teach me the basics, and maybe a few advanced Techniques. I don't care when, or what you teach me. I just want to learn enough I can do it on my own, and create kick ass pictures..ect.

Young padawan ...

Okay, enough of that nerdy star wars.
Spare time ? Photoshop is not something you learn over a cup of tea :D

Anyways, I'm on the other side of the world so you'd probally be sleeping whem I'm awake visa versa.
I'd be glad to help you, but I think using this forum is the best way. Response may not be that fast always, but you'd be sure to get some great responses from a lot of people.

Also, I think you can find perfectly good tutorials, which will for starters teach you as well as any here can, also the "basics", if basics even exsist.
Of course theres composition and color management, but I wouldn't see that as an essentiel part to begin with.
If someone can find the time to help you, that's great!
Don't get me wrong ..

Hello Latenightsynthesis :D

Excruciating is right, even if someone finds the time to help you, there is no way you can learn how to use photoshop via msn.

When I started using it, a special friend of mine suggested studying color theory and sent me a book for ps newbies. I learned the basics and then followed a lot of tutorials to see what the tools can really do.

But don't get stuck on the tuts and try things on your own.. work work work and you'll get those kick ass pictures you want!

The only thing someone can teach you is what every tool does. Then, it's up to you..

If you don't find it in the toolbar to the left, click on Gratient Tool and hold the left mouse button down and it will appear. (Hotkey: Shift+G)
