Need help with logo

I'm trying to make the letter W look like wave curls, however I have no idea where to start. I tried playing with the pen tool but I cant seem to do anything useful with it. If anyone can point me in the right direction or any type of help would be greatly appreciated. An example of what I'm trying to do is in the image provided.

Well why not make that picture the top layer and pixel by pixel trace it with the pencil tool?

Wanted something a little quicker, and that would keep the lines and curves even, not jagged. Being hand drawn, its not perfect.

in Photoshop select the "W" then free transform> Distort. hold the anchor point with cursor and shape it as you like. I am not expert. But I think you can try with that.

Download a free trial of macromedia flash and draw by hand, they have a very nice anti-alising that will work out perfect for this.
